Pocket Letter For Kim

Hi Everyone, It's been awhile for sure, but wanted to make a (long ago) promised pocket letter for a very dear friend, Kim, in Canada.  Kim is the one that actually introduced me to Pocket Letters, and was the first one I swapped with.  She also taught me how to color with promarkers and copics, AND how to love your own style....Thanks Kim!!

I used my Cameo for almost everything with a few exceptions I did by hand.  The image is from Tiddly Inks and colored with Pro Markers.  The papers are from a collection that totally escapes my mind, but totally love them!

Thanks so much for stopping by, and having a "looks-see".

Extreme Crafting

Where have I been and what have I been up to

My goodness, I hadn't realized it had been so long sense I had been online!  I'm one of those people that get into something 150% until I burn, and move on to the next.  However I do, eventually, make it back around to all my hobbies.

Right after my last post, we began munch needed work on our farm.  We began by moving, and fixing pasture fences, then painted our house, and .....then......

This last Christmas I got several things, one a ps4 and new games and like I said "150%", so in part I've been fighting bad guys and trying to save the world....lol

My other gift was redoing, refacing, refixing, (whatever you want to call it) my horse barn.  My hubby calls it "extreme crafting" =)  Below are some photos

I'm not sure what happen to all my before photos, but in this one you can see how badly rusted the stall door is.  The originals were 1/2 doors, and for studs (not my idea).  I think the builder just went for something cheap and I was too busy to worry about it.  Anyway....

We lucked out on some cedar to build sliding doors.  My husband is so talented.  I found a photo of a similar design, and this is what he (I did help..a lot!) made.  We had to make a total of five doors.

Before

After (before sealer)

We also got the aluminum bars at a great price as well.  We removed the iron bars and the top and bottom wood planks, drilled holes, and cut the new aluminum bars to size, and re-installed.

First Stall Completed

These next two shots are of us pressure washing the outside, before we put on a water seal.

These last photos are of the barn completed. This first one is before we replaced the old fascia and before the sealer.  Jack (my super duper talented hubby) built these sliding doors when the barn was built...they are awesome to have!

After Sealer

You can see the stall door (with the sealer) on this one.  Sweet!

Right now, I'm in the middle of redesigning my tack room.  Will keep you posted on my progress with some photos to share.  Thanks for stopping by. =)

Shabby Chic Pocket Letter

Hey Everybody,

Hope you're having a great weekend.  This was a super fun pocket letter to create, and I'm finally able to post it now that it's been received.  Who doesn't like to create "Shabby Chic"..Super fun!  As always with these pocket letters, we get to use up a lot of our scraps and stash.  I love that!

With this pocket letter, I used Pricilla Pie by Krista Smith (for my card and letter) and colored her with both Pro Markers and Copics, and (of course) I used my Cameo for a lot of the cuts.  All the embellies are from varies buttons, beads, jewelry pieces, etc., and the majority of my papers are from my stash.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving comments.  It means so much, and is so very appreciated.

New Pocket Letter To Share

Hey Everybody!  Hope you all are having an awesome weekend.  Here is another PL that has made it's way to a new home.  I won't be entering this one in any challenges, but I did want to share it with you.  It turns out that I've been asked to do some tutorials (working on them) for some of my ideas, the little owl being one of them.

Thanks so very much for stopping by, and leaving some love.  It's so very appreciated.

Green & Peachish Pocket Letter

Hey Everybody =)  Hope everyone is having an awesome week.  I get to share another pocket letter with you today.  This pocket letter went to my new pal IL.  It was just a joy to create, and the best part is I think I have a new friend for life.  You just can't get any better than that!

Okay, so here we go.....

In this PL I used this darling image from Krista Smith of Saturated Canary, and colored her with my Copics and Promarkers.  I used my Cameo (I love that thing!) on of the most of the cuts (all of which came from my stash of paper. The top rose was made from my ribbon stash, and the yo-yo key chain came from so gorgeous fabric my most wonderful friend Tona shared with me. =)

Thank you so so much for stopping by, it means the world to me!
